The Rise of Nine is the third book in the Lorien Legacies series. Written by Pittacus Lore, it follows the story about seven aliens with super powers trying to save earth and go back to their home planet, which was desolated by the mogadorians. Nine of them were sent to earth as young children, each with a cepan (guardian/trainer) and they could only be killed in numerical order until they reunited. Numbers One, Two and Three have already been killed and that is where the first book I Am Number Four starts. Specifically in "The Rise of Nine" all of the numbers are trying to find each other, to eventually kill all of the mogadorians and their leader Setrakus Ra. This is a great series, filled with action.
